Editorial policy

Independence is the product. Here's exactly how we research, what money can and can't buy, and how we fix mistakes.

Research standards

• Every listing is researched by a human who confirms the spring exists and is currently operating.
• Descriptions are written in our own words. We never copy text from spring websites or other directories.
• Prices are shown only where verified. Where we couldn't verify, we say “Check current rates” — we never invent prices.
• Spring types, amenities, and locations reflect the spring's own public materials at research time. Things change; we re-verify on a rolling basis.

Money and independence

• Basic listings are free and granted on merit. No spring can pay to be listed.
• Featured placements ($19/month) buy labeled visibility only — position on browse pages and homepage rotation. They never affect inclusion or descriptions, and are always labeled “Featured.”
• Lodging booking links may earn us a commission at no cost to you. Commissions never influence which springs we list or how we describe them.
• We don't sell reviews, ratings, or editorial coverage.

Corrections

Found an error — a closed spring, a wrong price, a mislabeled type? Tell us and we'll verify and fix it, usually within days. Substantive corrections are noted on the listing.

Photos

We don't hotlink spring photos or present stock imagery as real places. Listing pages use a decorative steam illustration; real photos live on the spring's own official site, one click away.
